Sir John Young "Jackie" Stewart, OBE (born 11 June 1939) is a British former Formula One racing driver from Scotland. Nicknamed the "Flying Scot", he competed in Formula One between 1965 and 1973, winning three World Drivers' Championships. He also competed in Can-Am. He also took part in 22 Non-Championship races between 1964 and 1973, after which he retired at the age of 34.

He took pole in his very first Formula One race, the 1964 Rand Grand Prix, which came just a few weeks before his Championship debut at the South African Grand Prix in which he was sixth.
